At NORDST, we take great care in packaging and transporting our furniture to ensure it arrives in pristine condition. Nonetheless, due to the fragile nature of our materials and the scale of certain items, transport damage can occasionally occur. This policy outlines how such incidents are handled under our transport insurance.


Coverage Scope

Our transport insurance covers the following:

  • Damage sustained during shipment from our facility to the delivery address, provided the goods are signed for and reported according to the procedures outlined below.

  • Loss of goods during transit, subject to courier confirmation and investigation.

  • Manufacturing defects identified upon delivery, if reported immediately.

What is Not Covered

The following are not covered under our transport insurance:

  • Damage reported more than 48 hours after delivery.

  • Damage occurring after successful delivery, including during installation or relocation by third parties.

  • Returns made without original packaging or protective materials.

  • Normal wear, material variations, or natural markings in stone or wood.

  • Custom or bespoke pieces, unless damaged in transit and reported within the claim window.

Claim Process

To initiate an insurance claim for damage or loss:

  1. Inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If possible, inspect the item before the courier departs.

  2. If damage is found, photograph the item and packaging thoroughly from multiple angles.

  3. Email support@nordst.dk within 48 hours of delivery with the following:

  • Order number

  • Description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the damage and packaging

  • Proof of delivery (if applicable)

Our team will review your claim and respond within 3 business days. If the claim is approved, we will either repair, replace, or refund the item as appropriate.

Estimated Delivery Timelines:

All NORDST items are considered fragile and require careful handling. Please note that standard delivery services will bring your order to the curbside or nearest accessible point—not inside your home or to a specific room. You are responsible for arranging additional handling or installation if required. We strongly recommend preparing for the arrival of large or heavy items in advance.

DELIVERY GUIDELINES FOR LARGE PRODUCTS

Returns

If you need to return or exchange an item, we’ve outlined the process clearly below:

  • You must initiate the return within 7 days of receiving your order.

  • Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as received.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to a confirmed fault or error on our part (to be pre-approved by our customer service team).

  • A return authorisation is required before sending any item back. Unauthorised returns may not be accepted.

To begin a return, please email support@nordst.dk with your order details.

When Returning an Item, Please Include:

  • A copy of your invoice

  • A cancellation notice (if applicable)

  • Or a written note with your name, address, email, order number, and reason for return
  • Order Number/Tracking Number

This information ensures we can process your return efficiently. Refunds or exchanges will be issued within 14 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item. Please email us at support@nordst.dk with the required returns documentation at

  • All goods must be returned in their original protective packaging. Items returned without proper protection may be damaged in transit and will not be eligible for a refund.

  • A restocking fee may apply to items returned outside of our policy or after the 7-day return window.

  • If your item arrives damaged, please notify us in writing via email at support@nordst.dk within 48 hours of delivery. Claims made after this window may not be accepted.

  • Custom-made or bespoke pieces are non-returnable, unless they arrive damaged and a claim is approved under our transport insurance.
