Ulrich Heegaard established NORDST in 2016 to bring a sharper, more curated voice to Danish design. With a background in high-end furniture production and a deep understanding of material expression, Ulrich’s vision was clear: create limited-run collections that push the limits of traditional form while staying grounded in honest materials.
His signature collection, PURE, earned international attention for redefining marble’s place in modern interiors. Since then, NORDST has continued to build on that legacy—one collection at a time.

The 2025 Collection is born from a clear vision: to merge refined luxury with purposeful design. It celebrates marble in its most honest form—fluid veining, organic movement, and natural variation—reinterpreted through a contemporary Danish lens. His unique design approach has helped shape NORDST’s evolving collections, introducing bold new concepts while staying grounded in the brand’s Nordic roots.
